Hi
In this day of PE and resin accessories I've amassed a huge amount of stuff for every kit i ever purchased. I think the amount of work required to produce a "world class" model runs into triple dollar digits (just pick up any model mag) probably why I haven't picked up and finished a kit in 10 years, nothing was or is good enough and the time required exceeded 50 hrs to do anything resembling an acceptable standard.
Having come back into this hobby earlier this year after being badgered by 3 high school students to first undercoat their warhammer vehicles and then basecoat them, since you've done that much why don't you put the camo on too, can you make it look knocked around?
I bought this kit more than 10 years ago for my sons to build from Toys R Us Parramatta (Australia). From all the usual stuff that they had on the shelf, this stood out amongst the Heller, Humbrol,/Airfix and Revell stuff they had on the shelf. But the boys never really got interested in the hobby, finally settling on Warhammer modelling over "historical" modelling.
Having found the kit in the garage (under 10years of dust, Rat, Mouse & thingyroach poop) whilst compilng a list of stuff to get rid of on Ebay, decided just build it as is and to practice my air brush & weathering skills (what little i have anyway) .
I don't know how you pick your subjects to build but I normally pick interesting vehicles or colour schemes. What grabbed me about this vehicle was it seemed to be out of context...... a Camoéd 4WD bristtling with weapons, & no glue required, whatelse to build with a 6 & 4 year old.
Build time..........3 minutes (ok maybe 5 instead of twisting it off the sprue I used a sprue cutter). Minimal clean up........one word BRILLIANT.
Paint job, I don't know you tell me as I go
